Orange Cyberdefense Expands in Switzerland with ensec Acquisition
Orange Cyberdefense, the cybersecurity arm of Orange, has acquired Zurich-based ensec, a specialist in consulting, security integration, and managed services. The deal, finalized July 23, 2025, brings 40 cybersecurity experts and more than 130 clients — spanning finance, retail, energy, and the public sector — into the Orange Cyberdefense fold.
The move strengthens Orange’s footprint in German-speaking Switzerland, complementing its existing base in the French-speaking region, and positions the company to better serve SMBs and multinational customers across the country.
With this acquisition, Orange Cyberdefense now employs over 140 cybersecurity professionals in Switzerland. By combining ensec’s local expertise with Orange’s global scale and research-driven threat intelligence, the company aims to build a “Swiss cybersecurity champion” capable of delivering end-to-end protection.
Executives from both firms highlighted the strategic fit: Orange gains proximity and language coverage for Swiss customers, while ensec’s team gains access to Orange’s extensive service portfolio and international network.
